The Crash and Its Aftermath

The plane, carrying 175 passengers and six crew members, veered off the runway upon landing and collided with a concrete fence. Initial reports suggest that malfunctioning landing gear was the primary cause of the crash. The impact and subsequent fire led to widespread destruction of the aircraft, with dense black smoke visible from the crash site.

Among the 179 casualties were 84 women, 82 men, and 11 individuals whose gender couldn’t be immediately identified. The two surviving crew members were rescued from the tail section of the plane and are currently receiving medical treatment.
